Look for the manufacturer identification plate and record the model and serial number. Plate location depends on the equipment.
Component plate.
Engines, pumps and transmissions may carry their own identification. Include this with the machine information.
A readable photograph.
Photograph the plate straight on, with every number in focus. Use the machine manufacturer’s documentation if you need help locating it.
